Reasons to Participate in Our Veteran Car Donation Program

Today, you can make a difference by donating your old car to our veteran car donation program. U.S. veterans have served our country and protected our freedom but are often rewarded with hardship afterward. Veterans risked their lives for the greater good, so it is vital to support and help them integrate back into civilian life.

Veterans face uncertainty when coming home from deployment, retiring from the military, and returning to their post-military lives. Many of them struggle with injuries acquired during service, homelessness, poverty, and severe mental health issues.

Please Help A Veteran!

In many cases, veterans are discriminated against in the workplace. The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA) prohibit discrimination against disabled veterans. Still, they are treated differently because of the injuries they sustained during service. Some may experience a hard time finding employment, receiving lower pay, and bullying.

Homelessness and poverty go hand in hand. Because many veterans have difficulty finding a well-paying job, they make up a significant percentage of homeless and impoverished people. Medical bills, housing costs, car payments, and utility costs pile up while some veterans are in the process of adapting to life outside of the line of duty.

Perhaps the biggest struggle is dealing with the toll that active-duty puts on a veteran’s mental and emotional well-being. Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), depression, and anxiety are all common mental health conditions that veterans cope with daily. Sometimes, when the conditions become overwhelming, our tired heroes turn to substance abuse as a form of self-medication.

Make a Difference in the Lives of Veterans Across the Country!

Many veterans need help managing everyday expenses. The veteran car donation program’s proceeds assist with medical expenses, home modifications to accommodate disabilities attained during service to our country, delinquent bills, costs associated with housing, tuition assistance for secondary or trade school, and other urgent needs.

Use Your Donation as a Tax Write-Off!

Since we are a charity, your donation to the veteran car donation program entitles you to a tax deduction when you itemize your tax return. We handle the donation paperwork for you. Upon completion, you will get a donation receipt in about five business days.

If your donated vehicle sells for less than $500, no additional paperwork is needed. We will send a second receipt requesting your taxpayer ID if your donated vehicle sells for more than $500. Then, you will receive the final sales price receipt.

We Make it Easy!

Donating your car to the veteran car donation is simple. It just takes a quick phone call. We take care of towing and paperwork at no cost to you. All vehicles are accepted, even the old clunkers that do not run.

Older and damaged cars that are in no condition to auction off are sold for scrap. We can even take any trucks, boats, RVs, and travel trailers off your hands, all of which get you a tax write-off. All proceeds go toward helping veterans!

Together, we can give back to veterans and their families because they are well-deserving of honor, dignity, and respect. We help by advocating for and providing immediate assistance to them during times of crisis. You can help by donating your car
