Cathie Greene

Board Vice President and Secretary

Cathie has served veterans for 25 years, and is from a military family. She has been a project coordinator for the Agent Orange Class Assistance Program (AOCAP) and vice chair of the National Agent Orange Committee, traveling to Vietnam as part of an eight-person delegation to meet with physicians and dignitaries in 1997.

Cathie worked as a United Auto Workers trainer for Agent Orange and VA benefits. She is a past veterans service officer for Vietnam Veterans of America, and a former member of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) rating board. Cathie retired from the VA in 2017.

Jim Farrell

Board Member

Jim is a former middle school math teacher who taught for 35 years in Stratford, Connecticut schools. He graduated from New Haven State Teachers College in 1957, later earning a master’s degree. He performs as a member of the Coastal Chordsmen a cappella chorus and the Stratford Sister Cities chorus and directs the choir at Our Lady Of Grace Church.

Ron Rubano

Board Treasurer

Ron retired from a position in sales and management in the textile industry after 30 years, and is now an Aflac insurance agent. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Colgate University in 1972.

He is active in his community of Trumbull, Connecticut, serving on the local arts commission and Rotary boards.

Mark Lutian

Board Member

Mark is a contract software engineer in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Prior to that, he worked at Sikorsky Aircraft for 30 years.

The son of a WWII Navy veteran, Mark earned a bachelor’s degree from Sacred Heart University in 1978, a Certified Public Accountant certificate from the Connecticut State Board of Accountancy in 1981, and a master’s degree from Hartford Graduate Center in 1994.

Paul Sutton

Board Member

Paul has advocated for veterans since 1970, traveling to more than 40 U.S. states to represent them. He is a past National Chairman of the Agent Orange/Dioxin Committee of Vietnam Veterans of America, on which he served nine years, and former Executive Director of the New Jersey Agent Orange Commission. He has worked closely with the Department of Veterans Affairs Vet Center program. Paul helped prepare grant proposals for the National Association of Agent Orange Survivors and the Birth Defect Research for Children.

A United States Marine, Paul has returned to Vietnam three times, most recently in 2002 to present at the Scientific Conference on the Effect of Herbicide Use on Humans and the Environment. He is a recipient of the Navy Commendation Medal, Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal, and numerous campaign medals.

Jim Wallace

Board Member

Jim has served on the board since 2007. He retired from Ford Motor Company in 2008 after 40 years as a United Auto Workers Union member. A United States Marine, he lives in Tecumseh, Michigan, where he was born and raised. He is an original member of the United Automobile Workers National Veterans Advisory Council, on which he served 14 years. He is a life member of Vietnam Veterans of America, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Disabled American Veterans, and a member of the American Legion.
